Cubee spotting: Ikea?

I recently received this e-mail from someone who discovered the site through an Ikea display:

“I saw your templates in frames at the Ikea in East Palo Alto, Ca.  When you get into the entrance of the showroom section, they had a display of a child’s room.  On the wall, they had perhaps 4-5 “shadow box” picture frames with constructed cubee guys (stormtrooper, robots, etc…) and also frames in between each of those (flat ones, not shadow) displaying one template each, not constructed.  It looked great and caught my eye.”

Sounds like it beats my display method of just putting them on every flat surface I can find.

If anyone happens to be at the Ikea in East Palo Alto CA would you mind snapping a picture?

How do you display your Cubeecraft?  Send me pics and I’ll start posting them here in the blog.

I posted a link in the comments of the Totoro cubee.
I display mine in my office, they are decorating my computer screen or my desk :)

I’m actually using my Cubee as teaching aids in my Elementary English Classes. Since I’m in Japan, I picked character that the kids would recognize (Sachiel, Megaman, Domo-kun, Totoro, Mario, Katamari Prince) and am using it for a “Where is (insert person here)” activity. So far, the kids and the teachers LOVE it ^_^

Please keep up the good work, and maybe if you could make more game characters, that would be awesome!

that’s great!

omg lol xD Ikea fancies you ;)

My Master Chief and Mario Cubee are actually great friends, resting ontop of my television.

Wow, maybe I should stop by that Ikea and check it out!

I’ve been doing your cubeecrafts since you released Strong Bad. I enjoyed making them so much, I’ve made them for friends just for the heck of it. Of course, I reserve some of the creations for myself, but it’s been a while. I think the Bionic Commando one with extendible arm spurred me again to make some more.

I’m liking the variations for the later cubeecrafts (ranging from the simple bat ears on 60′s Batman to the flaming hand on Liz), and would totally like to see more of these in the future!

Woops I was just there today. If I had known I would have snapped a picture. O well. I’m just glad they displayed a link to this site.
