The Muppet Show Comic Book: The Treasure of Peg Leg Wilson #4 – Roger Langridge – $3.99

I am really impressed with The Muppet Show books. The characterizations are right on and it is a real testament to the Jim Henson’s characters that not only is the book good but that you can put the Muppets in an entirely different medium and have it still hold up.  Probably some of the best Muppet stuff in a long time.

Sky Doll: Doll’s Factory #1 (of 2) – Barbucci, Canepa – $5.99

This limited series that is much less of a sequel to the original series but more of a “Making of” featuring a short story, sketch pages, artist bios and storyboards.  Check out artist Barbara Canepa’s (possibly NSFW) site here.

More after the jump.

Batman and Robin #6 – Morrison, Tan, Glapion – $2.99

There is a three way fight between Batman (Dick Grayson), The Red Hood (Jason Todd – Robin #2) and the new villain Flamingo (seen above).  Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne is dead… but his baby mama Talia Al Ghul might have what it takes to bring him back to life.

The Authority: The Lost Year Reader #1 – Morrison, Ha – $2.99

The Authority, for those that don’t know, is basically the Justice League except that instead of fighting other jerks in capes and bank robbers they are brought together to handle the most serious of world threatening scenarios meanwhile tackling threats such as terrorists, dictators and corrupt governments.

The original Authority books by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch and the second teram Mark Millar and Frank Quietly are great, as well as the Stormwatch books by Warren Ellis leading up to The Authority.

This book is actually a reprint of the first 2 issues of The Authority: The Lost Year.  You can get a quick history of this series and synopsis on ifanboy here.
