WOW! Cubeecraft from Draytonville and Corinth Elementary Schools

I received this e-mail this morning:

“Mr. Beaumont,

I am writing to you on behalf of the approximately 1600 students who have experienced cubeecraft over the last two years. Using the free templates you post online, the students have created paper sculptures incorporating the likes of pop culture and artists such as Picasso, Giacometti, Red Grooms, etc. Students in grades 1-5 study your work and the work of contributors to your site in an effort to create original pieces. Your work has allowed them to study sculpture, paper toys, and to tacitly experience it (on a budget) and to exhibit their work at our local Cherokee County Arts Expo. It is the only student centered way I have found to exhibit every child’s work (approximately 800 students). For that I am grateful. I am attaching a few photos of the students work and a Vimeo link to a short created by last years 3rd and 5th grade students.
Again, on behalf of the students at Draytonville and Corinth Elementary Schools, thank you for your efforts and for allowing us to use the product of those efforts so graciously.
